Children's Express

Throughout last year, the Mawsley team had been designing and building an electric train to be used in Northampton General Hospital to take children from their wards to the treatment areas.

Mawsley is grateful to the local companies that sponsored each station. MacIntyre Hudson, Efficient Portfolio, BHIB Insurance and Raybell Surfacing were the main station sponsors. Precision Signs, Playscapes Design Ltd and Swanpress also provided invaluable support for the project.

Our aim was to put a smile on the faces of children who do not have a lot to smile about. The train arrived at the hospital a week before Christmas and the children were so pleased to see it but even more excited to take a trip on it! The staff at NGH were happy to see all the children smiling and everyone at Mawsley Machinery were delighted to have brought happiness to all of the children at that time of year!
